Macedonia suffered one of its highest daily coronavirus death tolls today, with 39 dead and 1,288 newly infected patients.

The deaths were reported in Skopje (16), Tetovo (4), Prilep (3) and other cities. Their ages ranged from 40 to 86. The total death toll now stands at 1,600.

There were 1,288 new cases diagnosed out of 3,349 tests. Skopje has 570 new cases, Gostivar – 85 and Prilep – 78. The number of active cases rose slightly to 20,881. Of them, 10,130 are in Skopje, and 1,021 in Prilep , followed by Tetovo with 965 and Kumanovo with 939 cases.
