A general strike of the employees of the National Post Office with a request for a linear increase of the net salaries in the amount of 3,000 denars was announced today by the Trade Union of the Macedonian Post and the Trade Union of AD Post of Macedonia.

The strike will start at 8 am and will take place at the jobs in the main post office and through the branches across the country, Boro Veligdanov, president of the Macedonian Post Union announced at a press conference.

According to trade unions, the work of AD Macedonian Post will be completely suspended except for the necessary activities that postal service providers must provide uninterrupted, in accordance with Article 49 of the Law on Postal Services and the Collective Agreement at the level of the employer, until the requests are accepted.
