Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski said that the OJO prosecutors have opened an investigation into the latest leaks of secretly recorded conversations regarding the Racket scandal.
The short excerpts of a conversation were posted on Youtube on Saturday. They apparently show businessman Jordan Orce Kamcev making a peace offering to a person linked to the Zaev regime, warning that if the fight between them continues there will be “blood on both sides”, and VMRO-DPMNE may return to office which won’t be good for them.
Joveski said that OJO is working to determine who posted the conversations online, as well as the identity of the persons involved in the conversation. Only one voice is heard – apparenty that of Kamcev – and it seems that the segments were cut up to avoid hearing the voice of his interlocutor. Kamcev testified this week in the Racket scandal, detailing how he was targeted by Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva and showman Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13 – both persons close to the ruling SDSM party.
Never the less, Kamcev said that he was not directly pressured by Zaev or other members of his Government close to him and Boki 13 such as Radmila Sekerinska and Venko Filipce. This raised speculations that Kamcev did, in fact, reach a deal with Zaev’s camp.
