Telma TV reports that the appetites of Afrim Gashi’s Alternative party have grown and that he now demands three Government departments and one Deputy Prime Minister seat. The Alternative is negotiating with SDSM over its possible entry into the Government and is prepared to demand a huge price, given how desperate Zoran Zaev is to restore his majority in Parliament.
SDSM lost its majority with the defection of the BESA party. Zaev now has 59 or 60 votes in the 120 seat Parliament, and the Alternative would give him four more votes. BESA held only one department in the Government – the one covering agriculture.
Zaev and Gashi are expected to meet again in the next few days, an Alternative source told Telma TV.
