VMRO-DPMNE called on Labour and Welfare Minister Mila Carovska to explain the latest public contract which was landed by the company of her long time partner Goran Georgievski, and accused her of preparing to rig a new, much larger contract, in his favor. Since SDSM took over the Government, Georgievski won a number of public contracts for drone services, and Carovska attempted to cover up her involvement with him by not listing his company on her financial report sheet, even though he is her unwed husband.

In a year, the Fly Cam company owned by Georgievski will collect almost a million denars from the city of Skopje. He already cashed in 1.5 million in no-bid public contracts. And another, much larger contract, worth almost a million EUR is being prepared. Companies who work in the industry are concerned that this contract will be rigged in favor of Carovska’s unwed husband, said VMRO-DPMNE spokesman Dimitar Arsovski.

Arsovski requested that anti-corruption institutions investigate the public contracts won by Carovska and to what extent she influenced the process.
