Prime Minister Zoran Zaev sees no reason to organize a leaders’ meeting following today’s call of the leader of VMRO-DPMNE on Facebook.

Answering a journalist question after today’s press conference, Zaev said that he intended to organize a leaders’ meeting to inform about the situation with Bulgaria, but after the call of VMRO-DPMNE leader Hrstijan Mickoski to hold a meeting to discuss an interim government, the incompetence of the healthcare system and for the failure with Bulgaria, he said he sees no reason to organize such a meeting.

Why would I organize a leaders’ meeting? I do not agree at all with this because the Government has shown an example of friendship and continues to build friendship. It has shown that it has his red lines and never thinks of trampling on any interests. Unfortunately we did not get the first intergovernmental conference, which I  hope we will get it as soon as possible because we fully deserve it. 26 member states are completely behind our positions. We have successfully dealt with the health crisis, equally and much better than many other countries, said Zaev.
