Three Iraqi men are under arrest in northern Germany on suspicion of terrorism charges, police confirmed on Wednesday.
The three suspects are aged between 23 and 36 and were arrested in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, prosecutors in Karlsruhe said.
According to Spiegel magazine, investigators had uncovered that the men had downloaded bomb instructions from the internet and begun harvesting explosive material from fireworks. They had also ordered ignition devices from Britain.
According to the report, one of the suspects had stated plans to kill as many “unbelievers, but no children” as possible.
