Turkey’s Daily Sabah is reporting about half a million ecstasy pills seized near the Serbia-Bulgaria border.
According to the report, the drugs were seized in a joint operation between Serbia, Bulgarian, and Turkish police, when one person was also detained.
This was “the first anti-narcotics operation conducted by the Turkish police abroad,” the paper said on its website.
The article cites reports that said the police “carried out the operation upon receiving intelligence about a truck loaded with house supplies heading from the Netherlands to Turkey.”
