Goce Delcev was a Bulgarian teacher, a Bulgarian officer who died for the Bulgarian people, and not for some invented one in the laboratories of the Comintern, these are the words of the Bulgarian Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov, who after a meeting with the Macedonian delegation in Sofia, went to Samokov where he unveiled the monument of Goce Delcev.

He reiterated that Bulgaria could not make compromise with history.

We have expressed our position, which is clear, unambiguous and fully coincides with the framework position adopted by Parliament last October. We have explained that we cannot make any compromise on issues related to Bulgarian history, the identity of the Bulgarian hero, all those people we call part of our common history, Karakachanov said.
