Cooking oil manufacturers in Macedonia have reserves of raw materials for just another month to a month and a half, said Economy Minister Fatmir Bytiqi.

He said that the crisis can be overcome by new imports, even as consumers are reporting shortages ever more frequently in the main supermarkets in the country.

We are talking new steps every day. We are communicating with the refining companies. Their stockpiles are sufficient for a month to a month and a half, and we believe that they have enough for us to overcome the coming period until we find alternative sources of raw materials, as the usual supplies are affected due to the crisis in Ukraine and Russia, Minister Bytiqi said.
