The Parliament unanimously passed late Friday the amendments to the Laws on Value Added Tax and the Law on Excise Tax in expedited procedure.

Explaining the two bills, Minister of Finance Fatmir Besimi, said that they are part of the package of 26 anti-crisis measures of the Government, which should help the economy in the country, which is affected by the energy crisis and the price shock in global markets.

The aim of the Government with these amendments is to ensure reduction of the highest retail prices of gasoline and other oil derivatives.
