Real-estate prices in the capital Skopje were up by 7 percent in 2018, compared to 2017, but lost some of their gains in the second half of the year.
The average pre-tax price for a square meter of residential real-estate in 2018 was 46.764 denars (about 766 EUR). This constitutes an increase of 7 percent.
Meanwhile, the average price for the rest of Macedonia, excluding Skopje, was 33.157 denars (543 EUR) – a hike of 3.6 percent.
In the second half of 2018, though, prices in Skopje dropped by 2.8 percent compared to the first half of the year. The second half drop was even more noticeable in the rest of the country, where prices dropped by 3.9 percent.
