SDSM party official Stefan Bogoev said that he expects to see Zoran Zaaev continue to play an active role in the party, even after he left the leadership position in favor of Dimitar Kovacevski.

Zoran Zaev was SDSM President since 2012. That is a very long period of time, especially considering everything that happened, the campaign “Truth about Macedonia” and the Colored Revolution. He did great things that will remain as a benefit to the country. Many party members see him leave with regret. But from what he has told me, I expect him to always be there, even though he won’t interfere in the personnel and other policies, Bogoev said.

Zaev is expected to resign as RPime Minister too, and to try to appoint Kovacevski to this position as well.
