Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani in an interview with Bulgarian Nova TV said that the fact that Bulgaria now has a new government paves the way for finding a solution to the dispute and unblocking Macedonia’s EU path, noting that a solution may be found in January.

The fact that there is now political government in Bulgaria gives us hope that the two legitimate governments can sit down and discuss all issues and the first messages give optimism, because that is exactly what we said. There needs to be a comprehensive approach. Yes, history is important, but we make history every day, we create history. I accept only one argument why no solution has been found so far, because there was no political cabinet. Now there is really no reason to give long deadlines, when there is a political cabinet. There is a stable majority in Bulgaria and Macedonia and we can sit down even as of tomorrow, continue the talks and have a solution in January, Osmani said.
