Changes in the educational system are necessary and urgent, it will never be the right time here, in the country, for educational changes, Minister of Education and Science Mila Carovska said in an interview with TV Sitel commenting on the backlash after announcing that history, geography and civil society will be merged into one class in elementary education.

Obviously, after 30 years it is never the right time for education reform. If we do not make the changes immediately, we are still making a mistake in creating future generations and those who are now in school who can lead, because our children have less school attendance than countries where there are good international test scores. They do not learn on the basis of integrated topics, on the basis of problem solving, but still learn factually, which is wrong and abandoned as a concept in the world a long time ago. If we want as a country to catch up with the world, with European countries, with developed countries, then we should urgently push to make reforms, said Minister Carovska.

She emphasized that the new concept of elementary education, which is a national concept, is based on analysis and research and good practices from other countries, but adapted to our country.
