Macedonia’s and Bulgaria’s prime ministers attended Monday in Sofia the official signing of the joint Cultural Cooperation Program between the two countries by 2021, as confirmation of the goodwill and interest for intensifying the communication, exchange of experiences and affirmation of the cultural values of the two countries.

With a view to implementing the neighborhood and friendship agreement, Prime Minister Zaev said that as a result of the work of both committees for joint celebration of historical events and personalities, soon in the Republic of Macedonia, a monument to Colonel Konstantin Kavarnaliev, eminent figure in the history of Bulgaria from the period of the First World War, will be restored near Dojran.

The cultural cooperation program signed by the Ministers of Culture Asaf Ademi and Boil Banov is a legal framework for establishing direct cooperation between cultural institutions in both countries to exchange cultural and artistic values in order to bring closer the peoples and states.
