The old/ new mayor of the municipality of Gostivar Arben Taravari talked on the “Top tema” show about Zoran Zaev’s defeat in the local elections, saying that he does not remember such a defeat of a leader of a political party in the last 30 years, adding that he personally thinks that Zaev will change his mind regarding the resignation, having in mind that he is known for not keeping his word.
I do not know if any party leader in the last 30 years has experienced such a defeat and from a moral point of view he acted well, although I think he can change his views, because we know Zoran Zaev as a man who knows how to say different things during the day and not to keep his word. But an election debacle happened to him, says Taravari.
Taravari added that the situation in the country is much worse than before, pointing out that if the elections in Gostivar were fair and democratic he would have personally won by 10,000 votes difference, adding that the director of the financial police was threatening companies.
Taravari stressed that four people from DUI broke into his home and threatened him, but as he said, he informed the Minister of Interior from SDSM Oliver Spasovski about this, but he received an answer to report it to the Gostivar police, adding that if you report them to Gostivar police, it is the same as reporting to Mala Recica because the police station in Gostivar is a DUI police station.
