Prosecutor Lenče Ristoska emerged victorious in her case against the Council of Public Prosecutors by petitioning the Commission for Prevention and Protection from Discrimination. Following the ruling, Ristoska revealed that the Council of Prosecutors and its president, Antonio Jolevski, have been given a 30-day deadline to publicly apologize to her for what was deemed a significant form of discrimination.
The Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination accepted my complaint and determined direct continued discrimination as a more serious type of discrimination based on personal characteristics and social status carried out by the Council of Public Prosecutors. At a time when it is fashionable to declare commitments to ethical leadership in institutions and a culture of professional and personal integrity, as well as gender and any other kind of equality, declarativeness should be replaced by practical and public support for individuals who possess these qualities and are fighting these battles, Ristovska announced on her Facebook profile.
