Sources in the Alliance of Albanians party say that its leader Ziadin Sela will offer his resignation. It’s not clear whether resignation will be accepted, as Sela made the same move in 2020, after the general elections.

Sela’s deputy, Arben Taravari, also said that he will resign. The AA party had a disappointing showing in the local elections. It held the city of Gostivar, but failed to take Debar, Struga and Cair from DUI, or to present a strong enough challenge in Tetovo.

After the elections, following the failed attempt to vote out Zaev’s Government, the Alternative party left its coalition with the Alliance and joined Zaev’s coalition.
