Zoran Mileski, better known as Zoki Kicheec, was escorted into the Skopje courthouse recently, for questioning in the Boki 13 scandal which broke today. Mileski is charged of working with Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13, to extort 1.5 million EUR from a businessman, as middlemen in a case which involved getting a top prosecutor to go lenient on the businessman.
Like Boki 13, Kicheecs is also a well known personality in the Macedonian media and political scene. Boki 13 is also expected to be questioned today. The arrests are believed to have sparked the resignation of Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva, who is named in media reports as the prosecutor. The target was businessman Orce Kamcev, one of the richest people in Macedonia, who was the subject of one of Janeva’s investigations.
