A new annual award for an unpublished novel, providing 90,000 denars to the author and covering the costs of publication, has been established by the Slavko Janevski Foundation and Ars Lamina Publishing.
Eligible for the Pegasus Prize are previously unpublished manuscripts of novels for adults or children.
Authors are invited to submit their work in Word or .pdf format to pegaz@arslamina.com through May 15.
An expert reading panel will pick a winner from a shortlist of finalists whose novels may also be published.
Considering the influence the Novel of the Year Award has had in promoting the genre over the 20 years of its existence, the Slavko Janevski Foundation and Ars Lamina created the Pegasus Prize for an unpublished work to further improve novel writing, organizers say.
