The shooting of documentary films from the second generation of MakeDox DocuSprouts starts these days on several locations in Skopje. The films’ premieres are taking place from 21 to 28 August 2019 in Skopje, during the 10th edition of the Creative Documentary Film Festival.
“The themes were selected during last year’s “pitching” as part of the MakeDox Traveling Cinema in cooperation with DreamOn Festival in Struga.
“The films cover topics related to the life of youth, such as music, hitchhiking, and urban stories. The film shooting includes 12 DocuSprouts,” MakeDox’s reports.
The workshop DocuSprouts is supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) from Washington and North Macedonia’s Film Agency.
“Three short documentary films, ‘Adolescensorship’ by Lea Dimitrova, ‘The Look in the Eyes’ by Joana Arsovska, and ‘Different’ by Roze Simonovska, grew out of last year’s work by the first generation of DocuSprouts,” MakeDox says.
As part of last year’s MakeDox edition, the documentary films were also screened at the festivals Drim Short in Struga and Free Zone in Belgrade, in several high schools in Skopje, as well as within the ‘Step by Step’ project ‘From 1 to 101’ in Ohrid, Bitola, and Skopje.
