The Alliance of Albanians called on the Government to reduce the excise tax collected on the price of fuel. An enormous price hike yesterday caused long lines at the gas stations as motorists were trying to tank up before the new price goes into effect.

As the price of oil on the world markets keeps going up, we ask the Government to freeze the VAT tax and the excise tax at the level they were a week ago. It also needs to limit the profit margin of the oil traders. This needs to be done immediately, as the price of gas is expected to go up in the coming weeks as well, the opposition party said.
