According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the average monthly net wage paid per employee in December 2018 was MKD 25,784 and records an increase by 8.1% compared to December 2017.

This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Information and communication (28.0%), Arts, entertainment and recreation (24.3%) and Mining and quarrying (20.9%).

An increase in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Arts, entertainment and recreation (22.1%), Information and communication (22.1%) and Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (12.3%).

The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in December 2018 was MKD 37,704 denars.
