According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in July 2019, in comparison with the previous month, was 0.2, while the Retail Price Index was 1.1.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in July 2019, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled fruit by 4.8%, oils and fats by 2.1%, bread and cereals by 1.7%, other milk products by 0.6%, breakfast cereals by 0.4%, edible offal, cheese and curd, dried fruits and nuts by 0.3%, meat, fresh or chilled fish, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery, food products n.e.c by 0.2%.
In July 2019, there was also an increase of passenger transport by air by 25.4%, information processing equipment by 7.8%, package holidays by 4.7%, accommodation services by 2.0%, motor cars by 1.5%, bicycles by 1.3%, other medical products by 0.7%, medicines by 0.5%, small electric appliances by 0.4%, solid fuels for household, carpets and other floor coverings by 0.3%, cleaning and maintenance of the dwelling, other services in respect of personal transport equipment, equipment for sport, camping and open-air recreation by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in July 2019, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled vegetables other then potatoes and other tubers by 7.0%, other bakery products by 0.3% and eggs by 0.2%.
In July, there was also a decrease of the indices of recording media by 13.7%, gas for household by 4.1%, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 2.6%, equipment for reception, recording and reproduction of sound and picture by 1.4%, footwear by 1.2%, gardens, plants and flowers by 1.1%, liquid fuels for household by 1.0%, clothing materials, books by 0.8%, furniture and furnishings, major household appliances by 0.4%, telephone and telefax equipment and telephone and telefax services, other appliances, articles and products for personal care by 0.3%.
The Consumer Price Index in July 2019 in comparison with July 2018 increased by 0.8%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 0.7%.
