The Directorate for Technological-Industrial Development Zones (TIDZ) is welcoming a new foreign investment from a leading tech company based in Southeast Asia. Jovan Despotovski, the Free Zones Authority director, disclosed that this investment, located in economic zone Skopje 1, will bring in over EUR 15 million annually just for wages. As an SDSM member, Despotovski expressed optimism about the party’s potential to lead the country into the EU by 2030 but acknowledged public concerns regarding governance and corruption. He stressed the necessity of visible outcomes and a governance structure based on merit, urging bipartisan cooperation to address critical national issues. Despotovski proposed a responsible and non-partisan approach, emphasizing the need for collaboration between SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE, the country’s two largest parties, for the betterment of Macedonia.
