The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development projects that Macedonia will grow by 3.2 percent in 2019 and 2020.
EBRD’s report sees Macedonia recovering economically after the political crisis that was provoked in 2015. It lists the 2018 growth rate at 2.7 percent and an increase of 3.6 percent in the first half of 2019. Unemployment is cited at 18 percent, and youth unemployment at 35 percent, while the credit rating remains at BB+.
The region, on the other hand, has seen an overall slowing down of one point, except for Kosovo and Macedonia.
