EVN Macedonia today denied allegations from the Energy Chamber of Commerce that it is defrauding its customers by tampering with the devices that measure electricity consumption. The allegation was made by the head of the chamber, who said that there is no independent body that would check the devices.

We fully reject the allegations made by Georgi Manaskov. His allegations are entirely untrue and they inflict damage on the entire energy industry and to the public. The devices are purchased from top EU suppliers and are investigated by the Metrology Bureau within the Economy Ministry. We are a transparent company and we are always ready to meet with concerned parties, EVN said.
