With 1.22 percent of the average salary in Macedonia, only three liters of gasoline can be bought. If it is known that the average salary is around 29,000 denars and a liter of gasoline is 81 denars, it turns out that with 1.22 percent of the Macedonian average salary one can barely fill three liters of gasoline.

In the US, one can buy up to 60 liters with an average salary. One can look at such comparisons in a Statista survey called “Full Tank, Empty Wallet”.

Looking at the prices in the EU countries, in Germany that percentage is 2.9 percent, in Great Britain 3.11, in Lithuania 4.54, in Portugal 5.27, In the first place is Greece where one needs 5.58 percent of the average salary to buy 60 liters of gasoline.

Regarding the diesel, Macedonia has the lowest price. The price of oil in our country stands at 79 denars or 1.28 euros, while the most expensive in Greece is almost two euros. But even here, when a comparison is made with the average salary, Macedonians cannot fill the tank to the brim.
