Inflation watch: Food prices are up by 40 percent since 2020

Prices of cooking oil, flour and milk are up by 40 percent in a year and half, said the VMRO-DPMNE party in a press release.

Cooking oil was 57 denars (just under 1 EUR) a liter in 2020. Now it’s 98 denars, and salaries have remained stuck. Flour was 34 denars a kilogram, now it sells for 47 denars – 40 percent more. Milk was 45 denars a liter in 2020, now it’s 55 denars, the party said.
