As of March 1, there will be no more frozen prices, but there will be thawing of the production margins of foreign products imported in trade. These will mainly be basic foodstuffs, Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi told the press on Wednesday.

We will go by defining certain profit margins in both retail and wholesale trade for products imported into Macedonia. Our remark is that the products that we do not produce, ie we import, there is a bigger increase in prices and therefore we will probably go with the option of margins, Bekteshi said in response to a reporter’s question.

Earlier, the Minister announced that the margin can be fixed by following the invoices of traders submitted upon import to the Customs Administration and will monitor the supply chain to the markets, and it cannot be higher than 5 percent.
