The anger of the people who are still waiting for the money from the VAT-fee weekend, culminates. The fourth day of the deadline has passed, in which the VAT refund from the shopping on the holiday weekend of October 10, 11 and 12 was to be paid, and not a penny has been paid on their accounts. Last week, the PRO announced that the payment of these funds will be made on November 10 and 11, but today we are November 15, and many people still haven’t received their refunds.

Some people that got their refund claim that they expected more money from the refund, given that the fiscal receipts said that they have larger turnover with Macedonian products, but received none, 5,10 or 15 denars on the bills.

Everyone is wondering where the money that was promised to them is, and it is nowhere to be found.

I check my account every day, hoping that I will finally be paid the money from the VAT-free weekend but nothing, not even a penny. They lied to us big time. Hoping that I would have some refund, I shopped that weekend, including many Macedonian products, but it turned out that this was another lie of the government. Where is the money we were supposed to get?, said an outraged citizen.
