Krusevo Mayor Tome Hristovski, who is from the ruling SDSM party, assaulted an activist of the opposition VMRO-DPMNE party. The local VMRO branch reported that Hristovski yesterday attacked their member Valentino Despotoski.

The Mayor, known for his hatred toward the opposition, approached Despotoski in the city square, insulted him asking him “what is he doing there?”. Hristovski then grabbed Despotoski by the neck, slapping and kicking him, all the will “eliminate his entire family”, the party said in a statement.

The incident has been reported to the police, but VMRO-DPMNE Krusevo states that they have lost all trust in the institutions of the state, given their constant abuse by the Zaev regime.
