We all thought we could start negotiating with the remarks. Probably, Bulgaria has learned the lesson from Greece that the right time to veto us is now, President Stevo Pendarovski said in an interview with TV Kanal 5.

I would not like, stressed Pendarovski, to become infamous record holders in the waiting room, but the most difficult thing is the first veto, ie to convince everyone that you do not agree, then according to analysts everything is easier.

Last year, Pendarovski pointed out, I said that the Bulgarian side slowly began to politicize the work of the Commission and began to impose deadlines by which something should be completed, which began to become symptomatic.

According to Pendarovski, in 2017, 2018 and 2019 there was no announcement from Bulgaria that it would make demands beyond the Agreement.

Bulgarian demands in recent months go beyond the parameters. That is indisputable, said Pendarovski.

He revealed that it was proposed that German experts be included in the Commission as experts to assist as a third party, but that the proposal was rejected by Bulgaria.

We have an agreement and until we agree in it what we will do, said Pendarovski, there should be no change in textbooks or monuments.

Regarding the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which did not agree with the conclusions on enlargement, Pendarovski said that he talked the ambassadors of the two and expressed great gratitude.
