The Special Public Prosecutor’s Office received a note from the state Public Prosecutor’s Office stating that the SPO needs to take action to hand over the cases.

Acting upon the note, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of North Macedonia has been notified that the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the prosecution of crimes related to or arising from the content of the illegal interception of communications is ready to immediately hand over its case files. We will provide further details on the handover, the SPO said in a statement.

SPO’s decision comes after Katica Janeva from prison ordered her staff to hand over the cases to Joveski. The state Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski informed the SPO about Janeva’s decision, after which all cases are expected to be transferred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
