The United Kingdom fully supports Macedonia and the country, by implementing reforms in line with NATO and EU values, rightfully has deserved its place in Euro-Atlantic democratic alliances, concluded the countries’ prime ministers Boris Johnson and Zoran Zaev at a meeting on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in London.

The outgoing Prime Minister emphasized that Macedonia has no alternative to these processes and that in the past two years it has focused on meeting all the necessary conditions to show that it is ready for full-fledged membership in NATO and the EU.

At the meeting, both of them stressed the commitment to long-term strengthening of relations between the two countries as a confirmation of mutual close friendship and mutual support, now also within the Alliance.

They also highlighted the joint commitment to deepen economic and trade relations between the two countries, as well as to support the development and promotion of regional co-operation.
