Former Scottish Prime Minister Alex Salmond died suddenly, while visiting Macedonia.

Salmond was in Ohrid for a cultural diplomacy conference co-organized by the office of former President Gjorge Ivanov. The former SNP leader was staying at the Inex Olgica hotel where he fell ill during lunch, and the emergency response could only determine that he’s deceased. He was 69.
