After last night’s statement by his Macedonian counterpart Zoran Zaev, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj reacted that the idea of exchanging territories was still at the table and that Russia and Turkey are behind it, Kosovo’s “Gazeta Express” reports.
Kosovo Prime Minister wrote on Facebook that no one will partition Kosovo. Furthermore, he added that the sovereignty, integrity and untouchability of Kosovo will be protected at all costs.
“Gazeta Express” reports that just one day earlier, it was published that Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, in a phone call he received from two Russian comedians, thinking he was talking to former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, spoke about a plan to change the borders of Kosovo, saying that behind these goals stand the interests of Russia and Turkey.
In a phone call published on the website of the two comedians on YouTube, Zaev, thinking he was talking to Poroshenko, said that the two presidents, Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vucic, agreed on the idea of changing the borders, but that could spark a new war in the Balkans and that Chancellor Angela Merkel was totally against the idea. Giving further details, Zaev said this meant Kosovo should give 10 municipalities to Serbia. At Tuesday’s press conference, Zoran Zaev admitted he was deceived, reports Gazeta Express.
