The country’s first children’s encyclopedia of contemporary Macedonian art, written by Elizabeta Bakovska, was launched at the National Gallery to celebrate April 15, World Art Day.
The encyclopedia features the founders of contemporary Macedonian art, presenting their work in simple language to encourage kids to get interested in the subject, according to the publisher’s press release.
“We need to create the audience, and it’s created at a tender age,” the release reads.
The encyclopedia is a project of Efektiva Center for Visual Communications, supported by the National Gallery of North Macedonia and the Center Municipality.
