Outgoing Prime Minister Zoran Zaev ahead of Tuesday’s government session in Tetovo responded to journalists’ questions related to government measures against air pollution:
We allocated ten million euros. We allocate up to two million euros in budgets, directly for environmental programs. We have strengthened all the ecology programs. Money is not spent on monuments, museums, but on gasification. We mentioned, only 29 million for the 76km for this northwest part of the country. Not to mention all the filters, school interventions. We urge the citizens, at least the richer ones, to change their heating systems. No one has ever made such decisions. ‘Jugohrom’ is closed, outgoing Prime Minister Zaev said, pointing out that the government is taking measures aimed at protecting the health of all citizens equally.
