Pavlovski has been published since 1955, as a young author.
His best known books of poetry are “Drought, wedding and relocations” from 1961, “The boy who sleeps in the afternoon” (1978) and “Foundations” (1988). He has received numerous awards in then Yugoslavia and from across the world, including for his poem “Iron River”, dedicated to his ancestral village.
