The chamber ensemble Faculty of Music Soloists—featuring viola player Ilza Baftijari and violin players Eni Vuchidolova, Andrej Gjorgjevski, Diana Mirchevska, and Marija Janchuleska—will give a free concert at the Philharmonic on Tuesday evening.
The concert, including works by Mozart, Bloch, Piazzolla, Williams, Elgar, and Britten, will be conducted by Borjan Canev.
Canev is leading the chamber orchestra, formed in 1999 at the initiative of conductor Velko Todevski.
Faculty of Music Soloists consists of select string musicians from the school.
They have previously performed at Skopje Summer festival, Days of Macedonian Music, and other music events.
The ensemble’s repertory spans the breadth of chamber music and includes many works by Macedonian composers.
