Thirty-six entries have been submitted for the 2018 Novel of the Year award, contest organizer Slavko Janevski Foundation announced in a press release.

Beginning Friday, Feb. 1, the website Okno.mk will publish excerpts of the novels.

The winner will be announced by March 15 at the latest, after the panel of judges has made a final shortlist.

This year, chairwoman of the panel is last year’s winner Frosina Parmakovska.

Other judges include writers Bogomil Gjuzel, Aleksandar Prokopiev, Elizabeta Bakovska and journalist Katerina Bogoeva.
