In politics, there is only a place for a grown-up, mature person with a spiritual form, who does not identify with one or the other characters of the conflict, but to first clarify who we are and our relationship to this conflict.

This isn’t an adventure novel, this is a bloodshed. Here people are dying, countries are being destroyed, economies are collapsing. Here we cannot imagine ourselves in the place of any of the actors, but we must make it clear that this is Hungary, we are Hungarians, we have clear interests, we also have a responsibility, we must always help those who are in trouble, and it is our strength We will help from the front. If I review the whole European assistance, in terms of population, we accept the most refugees, we see the most people, we have seen more than 5 percent of the Hungarian population.

We are not trash, we are a great nation with morally correct actions. But we can’t help the Ukrainians by tearing Hungary apart. It does not help if we close the Russian gas and oil tap and the Hungarian economy will stop in three or four days – we did not help the Ukrainians with that.

In addition, we have no responsibility for this war, because those who decided about the war on one side or the other side, they did not consult us about this, they did not withdraw, this was not formed as part of a common decision that would base the responsibility of Hungary.

Therefore, it is necessary to define well and clearly what the interests of the Hungarian people and Hungary are. We have no more responsibility than we have done enough every day so far, but we will do enough for that.
